![]() Everything transferred properly, except for the metadata that was lost in the conversion from M4A to MP3. I ejected the Droid X, unplugged it, and opened the DoubleTwist app. I plugged the Droid X into the PC’s USB port, dragged the playlists, and dropped them on the Droid X. Then, to make matters worse, the converted MP3 files did not retain the artist, album or genre metadata. DoubleTwist then converted all of the M4A-encoded songs to MP3 and copied them back to my flash drive without asking. ![]() DoubleTwist Desktop choked when I selected more than four songs at a time, and I had to kill it with the Windows Task Manager. You can create playlists by dragging and dropping songs. Initially, DoubleTwist Desktop dumps all the music on your device or external drive into one view-you can’t just look at one album or folder until you import them into your Library. ![]() The software doesn’t provide any tips or guidance, so it’s a matter of trial and error. Feel free to let me know if this works for you as well.Creating playlists is an inconsistent and frustrating experience. This worked great for me after several days of looking for a solution. Scroll through the options and find the music folder and click that. Press and hold the file u wish to move and on the bottom right there are 3 dots. After your song is downloaded, open es file explorer and search at the top the name of the songs or the artists and it will show all files with that name. To do this i recommend downloading ES File Explorer. ![]() All you have to do is manually move the music file to themusic folder. I do however have an easy fix for this issue. However i believe there is a problem with where it saves the music files and doesnt put them where it should. Downloaded scanned andsent and saved under music. Like downloading a picture it is seen as a photo and sent to and saved in the gallery. See a phone whenever a file is downloaded it is scanned for the type of file and placed where it belongs. I deal with this a lot with my ZTE senota 2. Its just that a music player was one of the important things I wanted on the phone and the nexus sucks in that department. There are no great alternative apps for google music. I must say, in terms of a media player, the IPhone kills the nexus, or any android device. And manually putting each new song I get into the Nexus is a B*** because I have to find the new song in a folder with 400+ songs. ![]() Also because of the crappy MTP format of the nexus, i cant sync it either when I plug the nexus to my computer via usb. Cheetah sync sucks and Doubletwist sucks more. Unfortunately there is no real alternative to any other wireless sync. When I check on my desktop and open google music, I see that my playlist no longer have all the songs for example, a folder that is supposed to have 200 songs now only has 180 songs. Also, the playlists on the google music cloud itself is messed up. All my music that was downloaded on my phone via Google music is erased. After waiting about 16 hours for the music to download everything is working perfectly for a day.Ī day, and that is it. I also like to "pin" my music ( pin meaning save it to my phone because I can't afford to stream it since I have the 4gb plan). On my desktop browser, when I open google music, I see all my music and all my playlist with all the songs. I synced all my songs from windows media player to google music. I have 12 GB of songs that are contained in 12 playlists. The UI sucks and the cloud is really buggy. ![]()
